Currently, work is underway in Turkmenistan to prepare for the organization of an archaeological exhibition in the city of Rome (Italy) entitled “The Flourishing of Cultures: Bronze Age Margiana and the Parthian Kingdom. Archaeological Discoveries in Turkmenistan.”
Deputy Prime Minister B. Seyidova reported this at a government meeting, speaking about the practical steps being taken to organize the activities of the country's museums in accordance with the realities of the time, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
As reported, the main directions of museum work are the collection of valuables, enrichment of funds. In this regard, artifacts discovered by archaeologists during excavations at historical and cultural monuments are transferred to state museums for storage after full study.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country's museums play an important role in protecting, studying and popularizing the rich spiritual heritage and cultural heritage of our people in the world. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to continue work on identifying the cultural heritage of the people, national values, studying them on a scientific basis and preserving them for future generations.
