Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Cultural Attaché of the Vatican Apostolic Nunciature in Turkmenistan Andrzej Madej, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Ashgabat after 28 years of work.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during the meeting, Rashid Meredov expressed gratitude to Andrzej Madej for his personal contribution to the promotion of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Holy See.
The diplomat highly appreciated Turkmenistan's peacekeeping activities and the constructive foreign policy of the state, based on the principles of positive neutrality. He expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the assistance provided in implementing his activities in the country for almost three decades.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations and noted the need to promote humanistic values in international relations.
