Indian memory master Deepu V has set an incredible record by memorizing 14 000 digits in Euler's irrational number (e). This outstanding achievement, recorded in the Guinness World Records, significantly exceeded the previous record of 10 122 figures, reports daily.afisha.ru.
Euler's number, starting with 2,71828, like the famous P number, has an infinite and non-repeating sequence of digits after the decimal point. To prove the authenticity of the record, Deepu V underwent a strict test: he was blindfolded and his ears were checked for foreign devices. The rules did not permit mistakes or pauses longer than 15 seconds. Despite the harsh conditions, the Indian memory virtuoso completed the task in just 49 minutes.
Deepu V's unique abilities manifested themselves in childhood. He can recite over 5000 phone numbers and once was the fastest to recite 2000 digits of P. To prepare for the new record, Deepu developed his own technique, breaking 14 000 digits into four pages, each containing a table of 10 columns and 20 rows with five-digit numbers.
His training regimen was intense: from Monday to Thursday, he memorized 250 numbers daily, and devoted the rest of the week to consolidating the information. For quality control, Deepu recorded his attempts on video and analyzed them. Four months of hard preparation culminated in a triumphant result that raised the bar of human performance to new heights.
