Mexican resident Rogelio Villarreal was lucky. Thanks to a glitch on the website, he was able to buy two pairs of Cartier earrings for just $28, although their real price was $28 000 USD. Snob.ru reports this with reference to Alarabiya News.

However, Cartier refused to recognize the purchase as valid and canceled the order. Instead of earrings, they offered Villarreal a refund and a bottle of champagne and a leather passport case as an apology.

But Villarreal did not agree with the company's position and appealed to the Mexican consumer protection agency. The agency took his side, and Cartier was forced to send Villarreal the earrings at the price at which he bought them.
