Snowfall in the United States has led to the cancellation and delay of more than 10 thousand flights

On Sunday, over 10 thousand flights were canceled or delayed in the United States due to a snowstorm, according to data from the online service FlightAware.

As of 8:33, over 3,4 thousand flights to and from the United States were canceled, and over 7 thousand flights were delayed.

The most severe disruptions were reported at John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia airports in New York, as well as at airports in Newark, Philadelphia, and Boston, according to The Hill.

The severe weather has affected more than 60 million U.S. residents, some of whom are under a state of emergency. Meteorologists predict that between 30 and 60 centimeters of snow could fall in the affected states overnight into Monday.
