In January, students from Turkmenistan won 62 medals in international competitions

In January, schoolchildren and students in Turkmenistan won 62 medals in international subject Olympiads, held in person and remotely.

Deputy Prime Minister B. Orazdurdyeva reported this at a meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan dedicated to the country's progress in January of this year.

As reported, during the specified period, reforms aimed at introducing advanced teaching methods into educational activities, raising an educated generation, and improving the professional training of teachers continued.

In January, work continued under the State Program "Saglyk" ("Health"), with scheduled activities carried out at healthcare facilities. Various surgeries and treatments for sick children were performed using funds from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.

Along with this, measures were taken to develop physical education, sports, the Olympic movement, and the preparation of athletes for the Olympic Games and major international competitions in the country.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to pay special attention to the work of educational institutions to ensure that young people are trained in line with the realities of the times, as well as to develop healthcare based on international experience, develop sports, and train professional athletes, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
