Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has ordered the implementation of comprehensive measures aimed at increasing natural gas and oil production, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The head of state issued the corresponding order following Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov's report at a Cabinet meeting on the work completed in January 2026 to increase oil and gas production and expand supply routes to global markets.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Turkmennebit State Concern fulfilled its oil production plan by 107.5%.

In January, the plan for oil refining at oil refineries was fulfilled by 106.4%, for gasoline production - by 126.5%, diesel fuel - by 104.6%, polypropylene - by 100%, lubricating oils - by 100%, liquefied gas - by 122.1%, and the production of natural and associated gas - by 108.3%.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that practical steps should be taken to implement the work envisaged in the country's Oil and Gas Industry Development Program.
