The ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Spain to Pakistan discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation

On February 2, a meeting was held at the Turkmen Embassy in Islamabad between Turkmen Ambassador Atajan Movlamov and the new Spanish Ambassador to Pakistan, Carlos Aragon. This was reported on the Turkmen diplomatic mission's website.

The parties discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Spain in the areas of trade, transit, energy, and other areas of mutual interest.

The Spanish Ambassador spoke about his country's experience in combating desertification processes caused by climate change and about national initiatives being implemented in the area of sustainable management of natural resources.

In this context, the prospects and economic feasibility of a trade route through Afghanistan and Pakistan were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their intention to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Spain and maintain regular dialogue within the framework of the diplomatic corps in Pakistan.
