PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd has begun accepting applications for the Block-I Education Sponsorship program for admission to Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in 2026. This was reported on the website of the State Concern "Turkmennebit".

The program invites applicants aged 17 to 25 who graduated from high school with high grades in chemistry, physics, and mathematics. English language proficiency is required, including an IELTS score of 5.0 or higher or a TOEFL iBT score of 50 or higher. Applicants must not have a university degree or be studying at other educational institutions.

The program covers the following areas: chemical and petroleum engineering, civil engineering, computer and electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology, petroleum geoscience, and integrated engineering.

The selection process consists of two stages: a written test and an interview to assess the candidate's English language proficiency, critical thinking, and potential.
