National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, donated an Ahal-Teke horse named Garashsyz to the “Galkynysh” National Equestrian Games Group, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
The horse's handover took place at the Gorogly State Equestrian Circus in Arkadag after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov rode Garashsyz around the arena, demonstrating the unbreakable bond between man and horse.
The National Leader noted the symbolism of this gift in the context of the country's rapid development, especially considering that this year has been declared "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged horses" and marks the 35th anniversary of independence.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the group includes both young men and women, whose combined efforts are spreading the fame of Ahal-Teke horses throughout the world. Their unity and youthful enthusiasm inspire a sense of great pride among the people.
The head of the Halk Maslahaty recalled that the skilled horse breeder Aba Annayev, who created a unique school of horse breeding, was at the forefront of the legendary horse Gelshikli's pedigree. These facts demonstrate that the noble tradition of succession from father to son has found a worthy continuation in the current era.
The National Leader congratulated the group members on their achievements, noting that their victories are recognized and celebrated at the state level, and wished them success in developing national traditions of horse breeding and equestrian circus art.
