National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has ordered the production of feature films documenting efforts to develop horse breeding in the city of Arkadag and train a new generation of specialists, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

The corresponding order was given during a working meeting at the Gorogly State Equestrian Circus with the participation of the rector of the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding, P. Bayramdurdyyev, and the vice-president of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding Association, B. Rejepov.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to coordinate efforts to promote the achievements of the “Galkynyş” National Equestrian Games Group internationally. Films are intended to showcase the training of horse breeders, horse trainers, and riders in Arkadag.

The meeting discussed the work of the equestrian academy and the creation of conditions for students' practical training. It was noted that the Galkynyş group will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. Its achievements include awards from international circus festivals in Russia, Italy, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Monaco, including the grand prize at the 47th International Festival of Circus Arts in Monte-Carlo in 2025.

The head of the Halk Maslahaty called for measures to preserve horse breeding traditions and ensure their continuity, calling this art eternal and timeless.
