The course aims to improve the skills of national referees in the use of video technology in football. Participants receive in-depth training in VAR technology, including the fundamentals of protocol, decision-making processes, video analysis, and group discussions. The program also covers referee intervention strategies and the tactical aspects of using video replays.
The course’s lead instructor is Jahongir Saidov, a former FIFA assistant referee and current referee inspector with extensive international experience.
CAFA noted that the initiative reflects the organization's commitment to developing refereeing standards in the region through education and innovation, as well as strengthening cooperation with national football associations.
