The head of state noted that Turkmenistan continues to deepen its established and proven cooperation with Japanese companies, while striving to achieve new, more ambitious goals.
As the President emphasized, Japan exemplifies for Turkmenistan a harmonious combination of high-tech development, an innovative approach to the economy, industrial growth, and environmental responsibility. Turkmenistan recognizes the need for a comprehensive transformation of its economic model, focusing on several priority areas: the implementation of innovative development strategies, accelerated industrialization, a “green” transition, diversification of the energy sector, and the development of national and international transport and logistics links.
Praising the contribution of Japanese companies, which have successfully operated in Turkmenistan for many years, to strengthening the potential of the Turkmen economy, the President encouraged them to implement new investment projects in these areas. Specific proposals were made for cooperation with leading partner companies in areas such as water supply, water treatment, waste management, “green” and hydrogen energy, and the transition to a circular economy.
At the end of the meeting, the businessmen expressed confidence that the Turkmen leader's visit to Japan would be an important step in implementing the agreements reached to develop bilateral cooperation, and they assured Japanese companies of their continued efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
