Based on the 2025 results, the Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan entered the gold category of the UI GreenMetric global university rankings, according to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."
The Turkmen university scored a record-breaking 7675 points out of a possible 10 000, ranking 306th in the prestigious ranking of the world's leading universities.
Thus, Oguzhan University became the leader among 12 universities in Turkmenistan ranked in the UI GreenMetric global rankings this year.
The ranking agency's international experts evaluate universities and award them scores based on six key criteria:
infrastructure and buildings;
energy and climate change mitigation;
waste management;
water management;
green transportation;
education and research.
The Oguzhan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, which demonstrated high results in each of the six ranking areas, confidently entered the ranks of "gold category" universities.
The university has participated in this ranking for the fourth consecutive year, demonstrating sustainable development and improving environmental performance. In 2022, the university ranked 637th, in 2023 – 432nd, in 2024 – 328th, and in 2025 – 306th.
