“Arkadag” and Uzbekistan's “Andijan” drew in a matchday five match of the AFC Champions League II group stage. The match at the “Bobur Arena” in Andijan ended 1-1.
The hosts opened the scoring through Ismail Akinade in the 63rd minute. Didar Durdyev scored the Turkmen team's equalizer in the 68th minute.
The visitors didn't have their best lineup. Last season's AFC Challenge League best player, Shanazar Tirkishov, and the tournament's top scorer, Altymurad Annadurdyyev, were sidelined due to injury, as was the team's starting center back, Abdy Byashimov.
As a reminder, the teams' previous meeting in the first round of the AFC Champions League, held in Arkadag, ended in a goalless 0-0 draw.
After five rounds, Qatar's “Al Ahli” leads group “B” with 7 points, while Bahrain's “Al Haldiya” is second with 6 points. “Andijan” has 5 points, while “Arkadag” has 4 points. The top two teams in the group advance to the playoffs.
In the final sixth round of the group stage, the Turkmen team will play a home match against “Al-Haldiya” on December 24, and “Andijan” will play “Al-Ahli” away on the same day.
