Brazilian “Santos” forward Neymar has injured the meniscus in his left knee and will be out until the end of 2025, according to Globo.
The footballer experienced knee pain before the 1-1 draw against Internacional in the 35th round of the Brazilian Championship, and did not play. It was initially expected that he would recover in time for the next match, but an examination revealed a more serious injury.
Neymar's injury was a blow to “Santos” at a crucial moment in the season, as the team struggles to remain in the top flight of Brazilian football.
The 32-year-old forward has played 25 matches for “Santos” this season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
