Five specialists in the field of innovative technologies of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in the regional online seminar "Advanced methods and approaches to the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in customs operations", which was held over two days from August 20 to 21. This was reported on the website of the customs service.
The seminar was organized within the framework of the project "Trade Facilitation in Central Asia" of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and was attended by representatives of customs authorities of all Central Asian countries.
The training was conducted by the international GIZ expert Jonathan Koch.
Participation in the two-day seminar allowed employees of the customs service of Turkmenistan to deepen their knowledge of the use of artificial intelligence in customs operations, receive practical recommendations for assessing readiness for digital transformation, exchange experiences with colleagues from Central Asian countries, and improve their professional competencies, the source notes.
