A journalist from Turkmenistan, Muhammet Bekgiyev, representing the newspaper "Turkmenistan", was awarded 1st place in the international competition "Caspian without Borders" in the nomination "Discovering the Caspian Countries". He presented his work "The Path of Abai, or the Teaching of Peace of the Kazakh Thinker in the Modern World" to the jury.
Let us remind that Muhammet Bekgiyev is also a laureate of the TURKSOY competition-festival.
In addition, other representatives of the media of Turkmenistan successfully presented their works in the competition.
Thus, 2nd place in the nomination “Photo Caspian” was awarded to Ilaman Churiyev (Turkmenistan newspaper) for a series of photographs dedicated to the flora and fauna of Ashgabat and environmental education.
The winner of the special jury prize was Vagif Samedov (online publication "CentralAsia.news") for the work "Circus art enriched the culture of Turkmenistan".
The award ceremony for the winners of the competition for the best journalistic work "Caspian without borders" was held in the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater within the framework of the X Caspian Media Forum.
In total, this year the participants sent more than 120 works.
The competition was held in five nominations: "PhotoCaspian", "Fresh Look", "Man and Sea", "Discovering the Caspian Countries", "The Caspian - Territory of Health".
The Grand Prix of the competition was awarded to the journalist of GTRK "Lotus" Anastasia Kuznetsova for the story "Caspian Robinson" about the expedition to Ukatny Island in the Northern Caspian by the famous oceanographer, chairman of the Astrakhan regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society Petr Bukharitsin, the media forum website reports.
