In the first six months of 2025, 26,389 million tourists visited Türkiye, up 1% compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenues amounted to 25,8 billion USD, up 7,6%, tr.tradingeconomics.com reports.
Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy told a news conference in Istanbul that the average length of stay for foreign tourists was 10 nights. Daily spending per visitor reached 106 USD, up 8% from last year.
"Despite geopolitical challenges, Türkiye continues to experience steady growth in tourism. Our strategy to diversify destinations and markets is yielding positive results," the minister said.
Russia (2,61 million people), Germany (2,42 million) and the United Kingdom (1,75 million) are the leaders in terms of the number of tourists. There is an increase in the tourist flow from the countries of America, Central Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.
According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), in 2024 Türkiye ranked fourth in the world in terms of inbound tourism.
