1. The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan". The document was adopted by consensus during the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly under the agenda item "Peacebuilding and peacekeeping". The resolution was co-sponsored by 67 states. The resolution, in particular, recommends using the territories of neutral states for holding peace talks.
2. A large-scale environmental campaign has ended in Turkmenistan, during which 632 498 seedlings of various tree species were planted across the country. In addition to planting new trees, the event also included care for more than 2,26 million existing trees. Participants in the campaign also cleaned and improved parks and forest areas across the country. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the campaign.
3. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to the head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the celebration of Novruz. In his address, the Russian leader noted the successful development of bilateral relations in the format of deep strategic partnership. Putin expressed confidence that through joint efforts, the countries will continue to build up mutually beneficial cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of both countries, as well as to strengthen security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region.

4. A U.S. delegation will attend the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan in the second half of this year. “We look forward to working with you and sending a delegation to the big, beautiful, white city of Ashgabat to represent the United States at the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. Thank you for hosting this conference,” Trump wrote in a letter to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
5. Turkmenistan is completing the process of accepting documents for admission of citizens of the country to higher education institutions in Romania for undergraduate and graduate programs. Documents will be accepted until March 27. The selection interview with candidates is scheduled for April 1-2. To be admitted, applicants must provide an extensive package of documents, including an application form, questionnaires, a reference from the last place of study or work, as well as original educational documents with certified translations into English, French or Romanian.
6. The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution authorizing the Ministry of Education to conclude contracts with Agzybirlik tilsimaty and Aýdyň gijeler for the purchase of more than 142 thousand Turkmen laptops. Computer equipment must be installed in educational institutions by August 1, 2025, and its technical maintenance is also provided. The presentation of computers to first-graders on behalf of the President has become a good tradition in Turkmenistan. Last year, more than 155 thousand children received computers.

2. The long-awaited cherry blossom season has officially begun in Japan. 1. A team of referees from Qatar will officiate the match of the first round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying tournament between the national teams of Turkmenistan and Chinese Taipei in football. Abdul Hadi Al-Ruwaili has been appointed as the main referee. The match between the national teams of Turkmenistan and Chinese Taipei will be held on March 25 in Kaohsiung. The game will start at 15:30 Ashgabat time.

2. Last weekend, the Karakum Desert hosted an exciting rally-raid competition dedicated to the celebration of the National Spring Holiday. Athletes competed for the Turkmenistan Cup on a difficult track with a total length of 143 kilometers. Following the results of the competition, Maksat Danatarov, who competed in a Nissan Patrol from the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan, became the winner of the Turkmenistan Cup.
