1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova in connection with the fire that occurred in the city of Kocani, which resulted in numerous human casualties and a large number of victims.On behalf of the people and the Government of the country, as well as on his own behalf, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed words of sincere sympathy and support at this difficult moment to all the relatives and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
2. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the development of the country's agricultural sector. During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Atahalliyev reported on the current state of agricultural work. It was noted that work on caring for crops, including fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and watering, continues in the wheat fields.In parallel, preparations are underway for the cotton sowing campaign. The head of state paid special attention to preparations for the National Spring Festival, instructing to take the necessary measures to provide regional markets and stores with food products during the holidays, as well as to monitor the progress of construction of social and production facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.
3. Applications to higher education institutions in Romania have begun in Ashgabat. Applications for study can be submitted by citizens with general secondary, secondary vocational and higher vocational education. Applications will last until March 27. The selection interview with applicants who have submitted documents will be held on April 1-2 at the International University for Humanities and Development.
4. A large-scale exhibition dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan has opened in Ashgabat. The grand opening ceremony took place in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Within the framework of the three-day exhibition program, which will last until March 19, participants will present new products and share their experience in developing the private sector. Particular attention will be paid to the international forum "Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan", which starts today.The forum will become a platform for discussing the prospects for attracting investment to the country's economy.

1. Grand celebrations in honor of the holy month of Ramadan took place in the Egyptian capital Cairo. In the El-Mataria district, a festive table was organized, stretching across 20 streets. An atmosphere of universal celebration reigned on the streets of the city, where residents exchanged congratulations to the sounds of music.Foreign guests were cordially invited to join the festive meal. 2. Scientists from Saudi Arabia have developed a new method of growing saffron that could significantly reduce the cost of one of the most expensive spices in the world. Scientists have managed to cut the flowering period of the plant in half.A key element of the innovative technology was the use of vertical farming – a method in which plants are grown in multi-level vertical systems.The researchers also used hydroponics instead of traditional soil and implemented climate control technologies. The results were impressive: if under normal conditions saffron blooms for about three weeks, then using the new method this process takes only 10 days.
