1. National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the capital, getting acquainted with the progress of construction of the International Pediatric Center.
2. The center will implement advanced artificial intelligence technologies, which will significantly improve the quality of medical care. Particular attention is paid to the training of highly qualified specialists. A distinctive feature of the center will be laboratory departments with the ability to quickly diagnose.
3. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received congratulatory messages from heads of state on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Oraza. Officials from Egypt, Jordan and Libya expressed their warmest wishes to the head of the Turkmen state and the people of Turkmenistan.
4. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the newly appointed EU Special Representative for Central Asia Eduards Stiprais, during which the parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
5. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov held a meeting with the new Ambassador of Spain Ricardo Martinez Vazquez, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit. During the meeting, the diplomats discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and outlined strategic areas of interaction between the countries.

6. Sarygul Matiyeva, a resident of Bagtyly village, celebrated her 117th birthday in January 2025, making her the oldest woman in Turkmenistan and in the world. According to official documents, Matiyeva was born on January 1, 1908. In her youth, she worked in agriculture, survived the years of the Great Patriotic War, working in the rear. Sarygul Matiyeva married fellow villager Mati Bozaganov, together they raised six children. Today she already has 43 grandchildren, 97 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband passed away in 1982.

1. More than one thousand two hundred residents of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, were forced to leave their homes due to devastating flooding that engulfed the city. The cause of the disaster was the overflow of the Ciliwung River, caused by heavy rainfall. As a result of the rampant elements, the first floors of hundreds of houses were completely flooded, and the water level in some areas reached one and a half meters.
2. An exhibition dedicated to the tragic history of the “Titanic” has opened at the “Liberty” Science Center in New Jersey. One of the most interesting elements of the exhibition will be a recreation of the last dinner that first-class passengers enjoyed shortly before the ship sank. 1. "Ahal" defeated "Nebitchi" in the first round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among the teams of the Higher League. The meeting took place in the Babarap gengeshlik of the Geoktepe etrap and ended with a score of 2:0. Mahtymberdy Berenov and Gurban Annayev distinguished themselves.
2. Turkmenistan national football team striker Mikhail Titov has signed a contract with the “Uzgen” club from Kyrgyzstan. The 27-year-old footballer, who played for the Turkmen clubs “Altyn Asyr”, “Arkadag” and “Nebitchi”, will continue his career in the Kyrgyz Premier League. Titov's contract with “Uzgen” is for one year. Titov's new club represents the city of the same name with a population of about 70 thousand people.
3. Uzbek “Pakhtakor” defeated Saudi “Al-Hilal” in the first match of the 1/8 finals of the elite AFC Champions League.
