A two-day meeting of representatives of the railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran, JSC "NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", JSC "Russian Railways" and the "Turkmendemiryollary" Agency took place in Almaty, Rail-news.kz reports.
The parties reviewed the results of cargo transportation through the territory of Kazakhstan through the Bolashak border station, paying special attention to issues of increasing the attractiveness of the international North-South transport corridor.
Favorable end-to-end tariff conditions for transportation through the territories of Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas were also considered. The meeting participants confirmed their readiness to increase traffic volumes along this route and further strengthen mutual cooperation.
