In Turkmenistan, work on a documentary film about the first international film festival “Dawn of Arkadag”, which was held in October 2023, is being completed. The film will tell about all stages of preparation and holding of the festival, starting from inviting guests from different countries and ending with the closing ceremony.
“The film is dedicated not only to the festival itself, but also to the culture and history of Turkmenistan. It will show the ancient cities of Merv and Nisa, as well as traditional Turkmen crafts and rich national cuisine,” Tashliev noted.
The film is expected to hit the big screens soon.
The opening ceremony of the festival took place at the State Drama Theater named after Aman Gulmammedov in the city of Arkadag. Turkish film stars Burak Ozcivit, Mehmet Bozdag and French actor Edouard Montut appeared on the red carpet in front of the theater.
The main prize of the festival, a cup in the form of a monument to Akhan’s horse, went to the film directed by Sapardurdy Annaev – “Fate Written on Paper” (Kagyza ýazylan ykbal).
