Employees of the Federal Customs Service of Russia familiarized their Turkmen colleagues with the Software Package "Seaport Portal".

According to the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the working meeting held online was attended by employees of the Central Office of the State Customs Service, the Head of the Turkmenbashi Customs Post at the Checkpoint of the International Seaport, the Director of the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi, as well as representatives of Turkmen IT companies involved in the digitalization of customs procedures.

The specialists of the Federal Customs Service of Russia provided detailed information about the Software Package "Portal Seaport", the prerequisites for the development of this system, and the advantages of using it.

The Software Package "Seaport Portal" was introduced in 2016 and is designed for documenting vehicles and goods transported by water vessels across the customs border of the Customs Union on the basis of electronic document management. The Software Package implements the "Single Window" technology. This system makes it possible to reduce the time of operations at the sea checkpoint, minimize the need for stamps and marks, thereby reducing the burden on government agencies and the business community.
