This evening, the WHO mission will arrive in Turkmenistan on a Charter flight of “Turkmenistan airlines”, which took off this morning from Frankfurt am main (Germany). This was announced by the regional Director of the world health organization, Hans Kluge, in his Twitter account.
The WHO mission is scheduled to arrive in Turkmenistan to work with national and local authorities on various aspects of COVID-19 preparedness and response. The delegation consists of 5 international public health experts and epidemiologists.
No cases of COVID-19 infection have been recorded in Turkmenistan.
