A Turkmen delegation presented projects in the fields of digitalization and AI in Kazan

The international forum "Kazan Digital Week – 2026" is taking place in Kazan from October 29 to 31. The Turkmen delegation is led by Berdimyrat Berdyyev, Deputy Minister of Communications of Turkmenistan.

The event, which is taking place at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, has brought together more than 20 thohusand participants from 76 countries. It involves government and public figures, representatives from the business and scientific communities, as well as developers of digital technologies.

The central theme of this year’s forum is the practical application of artificial intelligence. Participants are discussing the development of the digital industry, cybersecurity, and the implementation of digital solutions across sectors such as manufacturing, public administration, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Berdimyrat Berdyyev discussed the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy currently being implemented in Turkmenistan. According to him, the country is shaping its own digital agenda and aims to become a digital bridge between East and West, North and South.

He also noted that AI-based solutions are being implemented in the public and social sectors. In education and healthcare, adaptive learning systems and algorithms for the early diagnosis of diseases are being used, while in the economy, systems for crop yield forecasting and the intelligent management of transport flows are being launched.

The head of the delegation paid special attention to the city of Arkadag, which, according to him, has become a model of a “smart” and environmentally sustainable city. Its infrastructure is built on modern ICT solutions and green technologies, and Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence technologies are integrated into a single platform for urban management and security.

One of the forum’s key venues was an exhibition of technological developments, showcasing digital solutions from government organizations, large companies, and tech startups.
