BVS Construction presented a mudflow protection project for the city of Annau at TIF-2026

At the TIF-2026 Investment Forum in Turkmenistan, BVS Construction Limited—a bronze sponsor of the event—presented a concept for comprehensive engineering protection for the city of Annau against mudflows and seasonal rainwater runoff. The project was developed in collaboration with Turkmen specialists, based on engineering surveys and a study of the Kopetdag basins.

The forum focused on issues of energy connectivity, energy security, and the development of the country's industrial and construction sector.

According to the proposed concept, the protection complex will include mudflow intake channels, a mudflow trap, a stormwater drainage system, upslope ditches, a pipeline, a pumping station, and a drainage basin. The system is designed to handle flows with a total volume of up to 6 million cubic meters and is engineered to withstand a design seismicity of up to magnitude 9.

A distinct element of the project will be a digital twin of the complex, which will enable real-time monitoring of the condition of structures, pumping equipment, water levels, and other parameters. Artificial intelligence tools will analyze incoming data, identify potentially dangerous combinations of factors, and provide specialists with information for prompt decision-making within the framework of approved procedures.

As the company notes, the project aims to enhance the resilience of urban, energy, and utility infrastructure, protect existing facilities, and create conditions for the further development of Annau—the administrative center of Ahal velayat.

According to the developers, the presented concept reflects BVS Construction Limited’s comprehensive approach to modern infrastructure development, integrating engineering solutions, digital monitoring, and risk management technologies.
