Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova held a meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Ashgabat, Luc Devigne. The Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported this.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union, as well as topical issues of cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the priority positions of Turkmenistan and the European Union within the framework of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, as well as to issues on the international and regional agenda.

Organizational matters regarding the holding of joint events and future cooperation within the framework of the bilateral dialogue and on international platforms were also addressed.

The parties reaffirmed their interest in continuing constructive cooperation and maintaining regular contacts on matters of mutual interest.
