The United States is proud of its partnership with Turkmenistan, and relations between the two countries are growing stronger year by year. This was stated by U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan Elizabeth Rood at a reception marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, held at the "Yyldyz" hotel in Ashgabat.
"I am proud to represent the United States in Turkmenistan. It is a great honor for me to work with the government and people of this country to advance our shared values and foster prosperity for our nations," said Rude, thanking the embassy staff for their work.

According to her, the U.S.-Turkmen partnership has continued to develop dynamically over the past year. The diplomat noted the visit of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to Washington to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to Florida.Furthermore, according to her, numerous high-ranking representatives of the Trump administration have visited Turkmenistan.
"These visits, as well as the numerous exchange programs, partnerships, and achievements of the past year, reflect a relationship that is growing ever stronger," the ambassador emphasized.
Rood noted that the parties are working on expanding trade ties, intensifying educational and cultural cooperation, and addressing security issues in both regional and global contexts.
