Turkmen participants received bronze at the Huawei ICT Competition in Shenzhen

Turkmen participants took 3rd place in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 Global Final.

According to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Shirmuhammet Vepayev, Chief Specialist of the Ministry's Department of Digital Systems and Information Security, Arslan Italmazov, a student at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, and students Islam Haitmuhammedov and Gurban Orazmemmedov, from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, participated in the Practical Competition Network Tracking competition.

The main goal of the Practical Competition Network Tracking was to comprehensively test skills in designing, configuring, and securing corporate networks. The final stage included an eight-hour hands-on lab test, where participants from 25 countries solved complex network routing configuration, optimization, and architectural troubleshooting problems in real time.

More than 1 180 000 students and faculty mentors from over 2 000 universities in over 100 countries participated in the competition, which took place from June 2 to 5 in Shenzhen. The competition consisted of several stages: the first stage was held domestically, the second stage was regional, and for the third, global stage in Shenzhen, 500 participants were selected to form 170 teams from more than 40 countries.
