Turkmenistan and Qatar reached agreements to expand cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in the areas of children's rights, education, and healthcare. This was reported in the State News Agency of Turkmenistan materials following the Turkmen delegation's visit to Doha.

The delegation was led by Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. During the visit, she participated in the Doha Forum, held under the motto "Diplomacy, Dialogue, Diversity," and held several bilateral meetings with Qatari officials.

Atabayeva met with the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Maryam bint Ali Al-Missned, the Minister of Social Development and Family, Busseina bint Ali Al-Jaber Al-Nuaimi, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwa bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Khater, and the President of the Qatar Foundation for Science, Education and Community Development, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.

The Qatari side highly praised the work of the Turkmen charitable foundation and its humanitarian initiatives. The parties discussed opportunities for developing cooperation in maternal and child health, education, and healthcare.

At the thematic session "Child Protection in a New Era: Developing Inclusive Humanitarian Measures," Atabayeva spoke about Turkmenistan's policy on children's rights. She explained that over the past four years, the foundation has provided assistance to children affected by natural disasters in various countries, including Russia, Türkiye, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Tajikistan.

The Turkmen side invited its Qatari partners to participate in the international conference "The Role of Women in Modern Society: Developing International Cooperation to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals," which will be held on December 10 at the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.

The Turkmen delegation also visited the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha and the “Sidra” Medical Center.
