Specialists of the "Gundogargazakdyrysh" Department of the "Turkmengazakdyrysh" Association of the "Turkmengaz" State Concern service more than 3,884 kilometers of high-pressure main gas pipelines in the Mary and Lebap velayats. The department is in charge of 93 gas distribution stations, 14 pressure control units and 6 gas metering points, ussatnews.com reports.
In preparation for the autumn-winter season, repair work was carried out on sections of the Dovletabad-Daryalyk main gas pipeline, between the "Shatlyk" and "Karakum" compressor stations. In particular, a 5884-meter section was overhauled - from 0 to 67 kilometers, where obsolete pipes were replaced with new ones with a diameter of 1420 mm. Large-sized valves with a diameter of 1400 mm were also replaced at 111.5 km of the second branch and 113 km of the first branch of the pipeline.
In order to increase the efficiency of the gas transportation system, the valves with a diameter of 1020 mm were replaced on the Malay-Karakum gas pipeline. The equipment successfully passed tests and cleaning using water pressure.
Recently, new powerful electric motors designed to increase pressure and increase the throughput capacity of gas pipelines have arrived at the "Shatlyk" and "Karakum" compressor stations.
"We plan to promptly install these units. All work on preparing pipelines and equipment for the winter period is carried out strictly in accordance with technological standards. Timely and high-quality preparation of facilities will guarantee reliable gas supply in the autumn-winter period," said Deputy Head of the Department Ruslan Atdayev.
