A delegation from the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan took part in a meeting of heads of tourism departments of member states and observers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), which was held on July 8-9 in Ankara, Türkiye. This was reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
In their speeches, the Turkmen side noted that thanks to the tireless efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the country's friendly and fraternal relations with the countries of the world are consistently strengthening. In accordance with the principles of the state's neutral policy, much attention is paid to expanding international cooperation in the field of tourism.
Turkmenistan is implementing gradual steps to develop tourism as an important factor in the country's economic development. The measures taken are aimed not only at expanding domestic tourism areas and improving the quality of services, but also at the socio-economic development of regions, as well as strengthening Turkmenistan's authority in the international arena as an attractive country for tourism, the source notes.
