“Real” Madrid and Saudi Arabia's “Al-Hilal” are the final participants in the playoffs of the FIFA Club World Cup, which is being held in the United States.
In the final round of the group stage, “Real” Madrid confidently beat Austrian “Salzburg” with a score of 3:0, and “Al-Hilal” defeated Mexican “Pachuca” (2:0).
According to the results of the draw, in the 1/8 finals, the Spanish grandee will meet with Italian “Juventus”, and the representative of Saudi Arabia will play against English “Manchester City”.
The other 1/8 final pairings will include: “PSG” vs. “Inter Miami”, “Palmeiras” vs. “Botafogo”, “Bayern” vs. “Flamengo”, “Chelsea” vs. “Benfica”, “Inter” vs. “Fluminense”, “Monterrey” vs. “Borussia Dortmund”.
The 1/8 finals will be played from June 28 to July 2. The tournament will open with a match between “Palmeiras” and “Botafogo”. The winner of this match will face the strongest team in the “Chelsea”-“Benfica” pair in the quarterfinals.
The Club World Championship is being attended for the first time by 32 teams, divided into eight groups of four clubs. The two best teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The final match of the tournament will be held on July 13.
