President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to the Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, in connection with the death of His Holiness Pope Francis, the Neutral Turkmenistan online newspaper reports.
“The great efforts of Pope Francis to establish friendly relations between religions and strengthen peace, tranquility and unity throughout the world will forever remain in the memory of all peoples,” the head of state said in his message.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed sincere sympathy and words of support to the Catholic community in this difficult time.
