1. A working visit of the Turkmen delegation to the Principality of Monaco took place. The delegation was headed by the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care Oguljahan Atabayeva. Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the National Council of the Principality of Monaco Thomas Brezzo, during which an exchange of views took place on issues in the field of health care and environmental protection, as well as targeted international cooperation. Representatives of Turkmenistan also met with Prince Albert II of Monaco. The meeting discussed issues of popularizing the principles of a healthy lifestyle, as well as activating peaceful dialogue and promoting the principles of friendship and brotherhood between peoples.
2. During a telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Gedion Timotewos, the possibilities of expanding bilateral cooperation were discussed. During the exchange of views on expanding the legal framework for interstate relations, special emphasis was placed on the need to establish a regular dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries, and the prospects for inter-parliamentary cooperation were considered.
3. Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities of Türkiye (YTB) Abdullah Eren, during which the parties discussed prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of education. The meeting participants emphasized that relations between the countries are based on mutual respect, equality and common historical and cultural values. Priority areas for the development of partnership were identified: higher and professional education, academic and student exchange, as well as scientific cooperation.
4. On the sidelines of the 71st session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister Hojamurad Geldymuradov held a number of meetings. During the meeting with UNECE Executive Secretary Tatyana Molchan, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UNECE, including cooperation in the field of sustainable development, trade, environment, transport and energy.
5. The two-day XII Turkmen-German forum on healthcare, held in a digital format, has concluded its work at the International Educational and Scientific Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. The forum was attended by professors from leading clinics in the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as numerous specialists from Turkmen medical institutions.
6. The national air carrier of Turkmenistan has launched a new special offer for families with children. The “Turkmenistan” Airlines company has announced a promotion for children's tickets to six international destinations. According to the airline, citizens of Turkmenistan can take advantage of the great offer when planning flights to Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, London, Frankfurt and Milan. The promotion will be valid for two months - from May 1 to June 30, 2025.

1. A new automobile bridge has been built in China, which will become the highest in the world. The structure reaches a height of 625 meters above sea level and stretches for almost 3 kilometers in length. The bridge passes over the Huajiang Canyon and the Beipan River. Now, it takes only one minute to get to the other side. In terms of its parameters, it surpasses the previous record holder - the Duzhe Bridge, located 200 kilometers upstream on the same river. The grand opening of the new bridge is scheduled for June of this year.
2. The tragic collapse of the roof of the Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has killed 79 people, and injured 155 more people and taken to hospitals. The disaster occurred on Monday night at the Jet Set club, located on Independence Avenue in Santo Domingo. At the time of the partial roof collapse, there were a large number of visitors in the establishment. 1. A Japanese referee team led by Hiroki Kasahara has been appointed for the first semi-final match of the AFC Challenge League between “Al-Arabi” and “Arkadag”.
