The popularity of the service has grown rapidly thanks to TikTok, where a video demonstrating the app’s operation has collected more than 11 million views. In the video, bloggers showed how they ordered private security with premium SUVs for a transfer from the New York airport during Fashion Week.
According to the 25-year-old founder of the startup, Nick Sarat, the service offers a flexible system for customizing services. Clients can choose everything from the bodyguard’s dress code to the brand of the escort car (Cadillac Escalades or Chevy Suburban). The only limitation is the need for a preliminary reservation at least a day in advance, although the developers plan to reduce the waiting time.
Protector is staffed by former professionals from elite units – Air Force, SWAT and Special Operations Forces. All employees are licensed to carry weapons and serve armed.
