Victory Parade in Moscow: start time and where to watch the broadcast

Today, May 9, a traditional military parade will be held on Red Square in Moscow in honor of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

More than 9 thousand military personnel from various types and branches of the military, as well as 75 units of weapons and military equipment will take part in the ceremonial march. The procession will begin at 12:00 Ashgabat time and will last about two hours.

The live broadcast of the Victory Parade on Red Square can be watched on the main Russian TV channels: Channel One, Russia 1, Channel Five, St. Petersburg TV channel and others.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Russia the day before on a working visit, will take part in the celebrations as an honored guest at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Turkmen people made a worthy contribution to the Great Victory. His brave sons, shoulder to shoulder with representatives of other nations, heroically fought on the fronts, in partisan detachments, and worked selflessly in the rear.
