A beach holiday is not only about sea, sun and sand. It is also a fragile ecosystem that is important to protect. Unfortunately, not all vacationers think about how their actions can affect the environment.

Why is it important to follow eco-rules on the beach?

Garbage left on the beach does not decompose for years, poisoning the soil and water. Plastic bags and bottles pose a particular danger to marine animals who may ingest them.

Plants on dunes and beaches play an important role in protecting coastlines from erosion. By trampling them, we make beaches more vulnerable to destruction.

By following simple rules, we can make a beach holiday more environmentally friendly:

Zero waste. When going to the beach, make a conscious choice in favor of the environment: refuse disposable packaging. Bring reusable food containers and water bottles.

Remember that the beach is not an ashtray! Unfortunately, cigarette butts are one of the most common types of litter in the world. Decomposing from 5 to 15 years, they cause enormous harm to the environment.

When leaving the beach, do not leave trash behind! Collect everything you brought with you, including bags, bottles, cigarette butts and food scraps. Clean up after yourself everything you left behind, and don’t be lazy to carry bags of garbage to the trash can.
