Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan

On June 12, 2019, the Honorable President signed the Decree "On the establishment of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan". The new IT higher education school has achieved encouraging results in a short period of time as a center for digital equipment and software development for the digitization of various sectors of the country's economy. Nowadays, digital technologies are widely integrated into our lives. It's hard to imagine an industry that doesn't use them. In addition to "pure digital products" such as software, digital technologies serve as a unique foundation for the development of all systems of the economy. Therefore, the future development of the national economy directly depends on the state's independent technology and software system. Because of this, the most sought-after and highest-paying professions in the world today are in the IT field. The creation of the leading technosphere of digital technologies in the country is mainly carried out at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan. As you know, the world's most profitable, large companies are associated with information technology and telecommunications. Their origins are often traced back to student research labs in academia. Today, such large companies are defining the direction of development of the world of technology. According to statistics, 80 percent of the resources of large-scale leading enterprises are focused on non-material resources - the educational ability of employees, creative work, as well as innovative production solutions. In this regard, the digitalization of various systems of the economy is based, first of all, on the development of human capital (ICT specialists and scientists) and telecommunication infrastructure. In order to train specialists necessary for the transition to the digital economy, 5 faculties were established at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, which train specialists in a total of 21 specialties.
