A student from Turkmenistan is taking part in the international program for studying Russian language and culture “Summer with Pushkin,” which started yesterday in Moscow, reports ussatnews.com.
The program is held at the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language from August 24 to September 6. The language camp brought together students from 10 countries, including Turkmenistan, Armenia, Ghana, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Nigeria, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The project is organized to support gifted youth and is aimed at in-depth study of the Russian language, as well as familiarization with the history and culture of modern Russia. 435 applications from 35 countries were submitted to participate in the program, but only 20 of the most talented and passionate students of the Russian language were given a chance to take part in the camp.
At the end of the program, the participants will create creative projects reflecting their impressions and knowledge of the Russian language and Russia, the source notes.
