An exhibition introducing the ancient culture of Chinese horse breeding and the art of white porcelain "Dehua" opened in the gallery of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.

According to “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, more than 150 ancient Chinese riding saddles were brought to Ashgabat especially for this exhibition. These unique exhibits are structures with a wooden frame covered with felt or leather, with leather straps, and sometimes with a pommel and back pommel trimmed with leather, bone or horn.

In addition to equestrian paraphernalia, the gallery's halls display works in photography, calligraphy and painting, sculpture, fur paintings, embroidery and paper products on the theme of horses. All this demonstrates the diverse integration and deep content of China's equestrian culture.

The “Dehua” White Porcelain Exhibition showcased more than 40 highly artistic contemporary porcelain pieces, demonstrating the rich cultural content and global aesthetics of this art. The exhibition also featured porcelain images related to fast horses.

The event was organized in cooperation with several departments of the People's Republic of China, the embassies of the two countries, as well as the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the International Academy of Horse Breeding, the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan and a number of other structures.

During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, representatives of the National Museum of China and the China Horse Industry Association presented the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the State Association “Turkmen Atlary” with a collection of poetry “Magtymguly” in Chinese, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Turkmen literature, as well as elegant white porcelain items.

The exhibition will last until the end of June, admission is free, the source notes.
