Grand celebrations in honor of the holy month of Ramadan took place in the Egyptian capital. In the El-Mataria district of Cairo, a festive table was organized, stretching across 20 streets, MIR 24 reports with reference to RIA Novosti.
An atmosphere of general celebration reigned on the streets of the city, where residents exchanged congratulations to the sounds of music. Foreign guests were cordially invited to join the festive meal. All the dishes for the large-scale feast were prepared by local residents, and about seven tons of meat were used for the treats.
The festive event was attended by approximately 50 thousand people.
