Saudi Arabia is preparing to begin construction on its next mega-project: a cube-shaped skyscraper so big it could fit 20 Empire State Buildings inside it, according to Bloomberg news source.
The Mukaab will measure 400 metres on each side when completed, making it the largest completed structure in the world. The building will be the centrepiece of New Murabba, a new neighbourhood that the country hopes will become a new focal point in the capital Riyadh.
According to the source, excavation work for the cube-shaped skyscraper is almost complete.
