At the 29th International Sambo Tournament for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Turkmen athletes demonstrated high skill, winning several medals in various categories.
In the women’s competition, Aziza Nazarova and Aminat Guvanova distinguished themselves, winning bronze medals in the weight category up to 50 kg. Merjen Joraeva also won a bronze medal in the category up to 59 kg.
Turkmen athletes also showed decent results in men’s combat sambo. Agasapar Mukhadov and Begench Baltayev won bronze medals in the 79 kg weight category. Particularly noteworthy is the success of Suvkhan Ovezgeldiev, who won a silver medal in the 98 kg weight category.
