A delegation from Turkmenistan headed by the Chairman of the Democratic Party Ata Serdarov visited Ethiopia, where they took part in the Second Congress of the ruling Prosperity Party and held a number of important high-level meetings, including talks with the country’s President Taye Atske-Selassie. This was reported by the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During the three-day visit, the Turkmen side put forward an initiative to establish partnership relations between the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the Prosperity Party of Ethiopia. At a meeting with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Misganu Arga Moach, the prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed, and an invitation to the Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, which is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December of this year, was conveyed.
The visit culminated In a meeting with the President of Ethiopia, during which greetings were conveyed from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
