Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke at the International Forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of Magtymguly Fragi as an outstanding master of culture and common heritage, who contributes to deep cultural ties between Iran and Turkmenistan, the MIC reports.

President Pezeshkian noted that the poetry and thoughts of Magtymguly Fragi, filled with spirituality and virtue, call on humanity to unite. He also emphasized that the poet’s religious and literary knowledge is reflected in his poems, conveying messages of peace, love and friendship from the past to the present.

At the end of his speech, the Iranian President noted that the spirituality of Magtymguly’s poetry has a significant impact on spreading peace and tranquility in the modern world.

Emphasizing the Iranian leader’s contribution to the popularization of Magtymguly’s works, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov awarded Masoud Pezeshkian with a jubilee medal for the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen classic.
