The longest mountain trail in the United Arab Emirates has been completed in the Emirate of Dubai. The new tourist attraction, located in the Hatta region, is already open to visitors.
The route includes 21 bicycle routes with a total length of 53 km and 17 pedestrian paths with a total length of 33 km. In addition, nine wooden bridges have been built here and 14 recreation and service areas have been equipped. This is reported by russianemirates.com.
Dubai Municipality says all trails are divided into four levels of difficulty, marked with different colours.
The administration emphasizes the diversity of Hatta's landscape, which features rocky areas, steep peaks and picturesque valleys, permitting visitors to enjoy panoramic views and the region's unique natural beauty.
Dawood Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, noted that the tracks have been designed to accommodate international events and competitions. He also stressed that the improvement of public infrastructure is aimed at boosting tourism in Hatta.
Within the framework of the infrastructure upgrade, car parks were created, toilets were installed, bicycle rental and repair points were organized, and picnic areas and recreation areas were equipped.
