A resident of the English village of Lambourn, Ed Pownall, made an unusual purchase at auction. For £150 he got a perfectly round egg. According to experts, the probability of finding such an egg is extremely low – one in a billion. Pravilamag.ru reports this with reference to the BBC.
Ed admitted that the decision to buy was made spontaneously after visiting the pub. He came across an unusual lot while browsing the website of the Thomson Roddick Callan auction house. The egg was found in a grocery store in the Scottish town of Ayr.
Despite the spontaneity of the purchase, Ed considers it a success. He intends to preserve the unique specimen, but has not yet decided how exactly to do this. The man considers blowing out the egg, but is afraid of damaging it.
